This is a heavy duty chain and requires a powerful trimmer. This worked great to cut back hedges and blackberry vines but do not, I urge you... do not try to use this to trim the weeds in your ditch or anywhere that will come in contact with the ground or a fence. This thing finds rocks, grabs them and hurls them, big ones small ones, it doesn't matter. If you decide to use it close to the ground, please only use at 1/4 throttle or less that way the rocks come at you slower.This was a single use item for me because I bought almost 2 months ago so I can't return it. The chain broke the first time I hit a rock. It still worked it just threw it out of balance and vibrated like crazy. I am going back to the string, it is much safer for what I use my trimmer for.
