Description

FITMENT/COMPATIBILITY- Lawn Mower Spindles kit for Bobcat 36" and 48" XM mowers 36567; for Stens 285-879 THE ROLE OF THE SPINDLES- Lawn mower spindles are essential parts of the mower's cutting deck. The mower deck spindles and pulleys work together to rotate the blades for a smooth even cut. If any parts of the spindle assembly are bent or broken, it can cause the blades to spin unevenly, or prevent them from spinning at all. When you need to replace a spindle on your riding mower, OCPTY has all the parts you need. Our spindle shafts will get your mower back into perfect cutting shape. SPINDLE REPLACEMENT-Since demolishing the old spindle assembly is often the most difficult part of the replacement process, reassembly of the unit should be a breeze. Insert the new spindle into the center of the spindle housing. Reattach the spindle housing to the mower deck with the bolts that you separated previously. Reinstall the blade and pulley and tighten them into place. SPINDLE DEMOLISHING- To access the spindle easily, demolished the deck from the mower. Demolished the blade and pulley from the spindle and lay them aside. When a spindle has been in place on the mower for a number of years, it may be difficult to disassemble. If the bolts that hold the spindle assembly in place seem stuck in place, apply a penetrating oil and allow it to soak for 30 minutes or so before attempting to disassemble the bolts again. TIPS FOR SPINDLE BEARINGS- Replace the spindle bearings if the pulley wobbles. If the pulley didn’t feel secure and flush when you demolished it, it’s likely because the bearings inside the spindle are worn out. Rather than replacing the entire spindle, you can simply install new bearings. However, if the spindle is broken or bent, replace it entirely. › See more product details
